ADVERTISEMENT FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION AND NOTIFICATION OF BID FOR ADLAI E. STEVENSON HIGH SCHOOL - 2022 IMPROVEMENTS BID RELEASE 3 ADLAI STEVENSON HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT #125 LINCOLNSHIRE, IL Gilbane Building Company, Construction Manager, for and acting on behalf of Stevenson High School District #125 Board of Education, is receiving lump sum proposal forms from interested contractors for the Adlai E. Stevenson High School - 2022 Improvements, Lincolnshire, IL. The work includes both interior and exterior packages. Interior work includes the renovations of science classrooms, a health classroom, an office suite, and the replacement of boiler pumps. Exterior work includes tuckpointing and concrete repair, exterior demo, paving, landscaping, site lighting and site security work. All work has a scheduled completion for July 29, 2022. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. local time via an online Microsoft Teams meeting. An onsite walkthrough will occur Wednesday, January 5 at 3:00pm. NOTE: Face coverings and proper PPE is required to visit the site. No one will be allowed onsite without a face covering or PPE. The proposals will be due on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. local time via bidder's prequalification account at www.ibidpro.com. To bid this project, bidders must be qualified by Gilbane Building Company. The prequalification application is to be completed online at www.ibidpro.com. Bid Security in the form of a bid bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid is required from all Bidders. No other forms of Bid Security will be accepted. Guarantee Bonds in the form of a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid will be required from the awarded Bidder. The work will be done in accordance with the Contract Documents. "FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS INVITATION TO BID WILL RESULT IN THE DISQUALIFICATION OF THE BIDDER". This contract calls for the construction of a "public work," within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/.01 et seq. ("the Act"). The Act requires contractors and subcontractors to pay laborers, workers and mechanics performing services on public works projects no less than the "prevailing rate of wages" (hourly cash wages plus fringe benefits) in the county where the work is performed. For information regarding current prevailing wage rates, please refer to the Illinois Department of Labor's website at: https://www2.illinois.gov/idol/Laws- Rules/CONMED/Pages/Rates.aspx. All contractors and subcontractors rendering services under this contract must comply with all requirements of the Act, including but not limited to, all wage, notice and record keeping duties. Adlai E. Stevenson High School and Gilbane Building Company reserve the right to reject any or all bids. All information submitted as part of this process shall be considered public information under the State Freedom of Information Act unless specifically disclosed on the applicable information by the Bidder.
