Stevenson High School - East Building Addition Phase II Project, Lincolnshire, IL. The East Building Addition Phase II Enabling Work consists of an expansion of the District's peaker plant adding two generators, demolition of a portion of the existing field house, site improvements, site electrical improvements, and temporary construction to permit expansion of the existing field house. Stevenson High School, Room 2104 located at 2 Stevenson Drive, Lincolnshire, IL. The Proposals will be due on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Adlai E. Stevenson High School Administration Building, 2 Stevenson Drive, Lincolnshire, IL. To bid this project, bidders must be qualified by Gilbane Building Company. The prequalification application is to be completed online at www.ibidpro.com. Bid Security in the form of a bid bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid is required from all Bidders. No other forms of Bid Security will be accepted. Guarantee Bonds in the form of a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid will be required from the awarded Bidder. The work will be done in accordance with the Contract Documents. "FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS INVITATION TO BID WILL RESULT IN THE DISQUALIFICATION OF THE BIDDER". This contract calls for the construction of a "public work," within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/.01 et seq. ("the Act"). The Act requires contractors and subcontractors to pay laborers, workers and mechanics performing services on public works projects no less than the "prevailing rate of wages" (hourly cash wages plus fringe benefits) in the county where the work is performed. All contractors and subcontractors rendering services under this contract must comply with all requirements of the Act, including but not limited to, all wage, notice and record keeping duties.
