ADVERTISEMENT FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION AND NOTIFICATION OF BID FOR ADLAI E. STEVENSON HIGH SCHOOL - 2021 IMPROVEMENTS BID RELEASE 1 ADLAI STEVENSON HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT #125 LINCOLNSHIRE, IL Gilbane Building Company, Construction Manager, for and acting on behalf of Stevenson High School District #125 Board of Education, is receiving lump sum proposal forms from interested contractors for the Adlai E. Stevenson High School - 2021 Renovations, Lincolnshire, IL. The work includes replacement of existing carpet and carpet tiles in various areas of the building, with completion scheduled by January 4, 2021. BID RELEASE 1 - BID PACKAGE BP# Description 09A Carpeting Installation Work The bid documents will be distributed to pre-qualified bidders on or about Wednesday, September 16, 2020. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. local time via online skype meeting. Individual site visits may be scheduled separate with the Construction Manager. NOTE: Face covering and proper PPE is required to visit the site. No-one will be allowed onsite without a face covering or PPE. The proposals will be due on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. local time via bidder's prequalification account at www.ibidpro.com. To bid this project, bidders must be qualified by Gilbane Building Company. The prequalification application is to be completed online at www.ibidpro.com. Bid Security in the form of a bid bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid is required from all Bidders. No other forms of Bid Security will be accepted. Guarantee Bonds in the form of a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid will be required from the awarded Bidder. The work will be done in accordance with the Contract Documents. "FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS INVITATION TO BID WILL RESULT IN THE DISQUALIFICATION OF THE BIDDER". This contract calls for the construction of a "public work," within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/.01 et seq. ("the Act"). The Act requires contractors and subcontractors to pay laborers, workers and mechanics performing services on public works projects no less than the "prevailing rate of wages" (hourly cash wages plus fringe benefits) in the county where the work is performed. For information regarding current prevailing wage rates, please refer to the Illinois Department of Labor's website at: https://www2.illinois.gov/idol/Laws-Rules/CONMED/Pages/Rates.aspx. All contractors and subcontractors rendering services under this contract must comply with all requirements of the Act, including but not limited to, all wage, notice and record keeping duties. Adlai E. Stevenson High School and Gilbane Building Company reserve the right to reject any or all bids. All information submitted as part of this process shall be considered public information under the State Freedom of Information Act unless specifically disclosed on the applicable information by the Bidder.
