The USDA/ARS intends to award a Firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), only one responsible source, to:

Description of Requirement: The objective of this sole source award is to procure the following items:

1. 5 hp electric aerator specifications:
2. 5hp electric motor, 230/480 volts, 1750 RPM
3. Gear box: 25:1 World Wide Gear Box
4. Rotor: 70" long with 44 15" paddles with 2" x 10" drive shaft
5. Floats: Made from 5025 .090 aluminum and measure 19" x 96"
6. Aerator Frame: Will be constructed from 3" x 3" square steel tubing
7. All steel components including rotors will need to be hot dipped galvanized covered for rust prevention

The NAICS code for this requirement is 112519; the small business size standard is $.75 Million.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement.
