The government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed source is Hunt Engineering Services, Inc., Niceville, FL. The purchase is for a 12-month maintenance contract for support of the MAX Security Portal badging system used on Wright-Patterson AFB. MAX is a fully integrated ID badge management system that provides interactive, real-time support to visitor control centers, gate guards, security forces personnel, unit security managers, contracting officers, sponsors and badge office personnel. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotation received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
