The AFRL is interested in continuing research and development efforts supporting networked space architectures and long range crosslinks and downlinks. The communication architectures encompasses multiple efforts that include modernization of component and system technologies as well as novel technology development. Specific areas of interest are the development of interoperable, PNT capable lasercom terminals for GPS and Cislunar orbits.
