SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS FOR Initiators AGM-86 Air Launched Cruise Missile Department of the Air Force, Air Force Materiel Command, OO-ALC/GHGKA PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION This is a Source Sought Synopsis announcement, market research for information only, to be used for preliminary planning purposes. This market research is being conducted to identify potential sources possessing the engineering and manufacturing knowledge for the Exploding Bridgewire (EBW) Initiators used on the AGM-86 Air Launched Cruise Missile. These initiators are used in range safety valves and use a four pin connector design using a dual circuit to provide redundant exploding bridgewire capability. It is part of the flight termination system and operates in conjunction with drogue and recovery parachutes to terminate powered flight of air vehicle during test flights. When EBW is initiated, the normally open valve is driven closed by gas generated by EBW Initiators. No proposal is requested or accepted from synopsis. This is not a solicitation for proposal and no contract shall be awarded from this synopsis.
