The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award a Cost-Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) contract, with a Period of Performance up to five (5) years, to Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS), 1151 East Hermans Road, Tucson, AZ 85734-1337, for continued AIM-9X Missile Systems Improvement support. This contract action will procure Non-Recurring Engineering Support, Software Development efforts, and Trade Study Analyses for the AIM-9X Missile Program.
Supplies and services to be procured under this contract include: continued software support, future software growth development, software improvements, trade studies, technical support, and risk reduction efforts. In particular, these efforts include, but are not limited to, the development of Operational Flight Software (OFS) and Integrated Flight Simulation (IFS), as well as hardware and software risk reduction efforts for future capabilities. In addition, the contract will procure trade-studies and analyses to investigate and support future capabilities. Requirements are for the United States Navy (USN), United States Air Force (USAF) and various Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers.
NAVAIR intends to award this procurement sole source to Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS), 1151 East Hermans Road, Tucson, AZ 85756-9367, based on the authority provided in FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Sources or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
