This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested.

The National Institute of Health, Clinical Center (CC) intends to award a Fixed Price Purchase Order to Carefusion Solutions, LLC, 3750 Torrey View Ct, San Diego, CA, 92130-2622 on a sole source basis to procure Alaris Pump spare parts required for maintenance of the Alaris Pump System in the NIH Clinical Center.  Alaris has only one authorized distributor at this time. The need for parts is to keep the Alaris pumps currently installed, in good working condition for patient care. Quantities and prices  are fixed and pre-negotiated.  The resulting Purchase Order will have a ceiling amount of $24,000.00.

This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the acquisition of commercial items prescribed in FAR Part 12 in conjunction with the policies and procedures for the competition requirements in FAR Part 6.  Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting.  The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
