The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, MEC Product Line, anticipates awarding a one time, definitive type contract for the purchase of Alco Turbochargers. Model numbers 131,165 and 720. The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) is Globe Turbocharger Specialties, Inc., 201 Edison Way, Reno, NV 89502. It is anticipated that a non-competitive, fixed price, sole source contract will be awarded to Globe Turbocharger Specialties, or an authorized distributor, as they are believed to be the only firm that possesses the required capabilities to successfully manufacture and overhaul these turbochargers and can insure form, fit, function and compatibility with existing onboard cutter configurations and equipment and conformity to the OEM design requirements. NOTE: NO DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS OR SCHEMATICS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THIS AGENCY!! The U.S. Coast Guard does NOT possess the data rights to the specifications, drawings or other technical data necessary to manufacture the required parts. All data, specifications, and drawings are proprietary to Globe Turbochargers, Inc. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate only with Globe Turbochargers or their authorized distributors. Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to furnish the items are invited to submit complete and current information discussing their capabilities within 10 calendar days from the date this notice is posted. The following information must be provided and must include sufficient detail to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the acceptability of the offered system and components: 1) Verification that they are an authorized distributor for the OEM. Other potential sources desiring to furnish other than OEM services are required to submit the following information for evaluation purposes: 1) complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered parts (i.e, salient physical, functional, and serviceability characteristics), 2) data that the offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the government or the OEM and 3) documentation certifying that they are capable of performing repair services on Globe turbochargers. This is not a Request for Proposals; therefore, no pricing information shall be submitted at this time. Submission of this data for review will not impede the award of this requirement. Information due shall be submitted via e-mail or fax notice to Ms. Harwood at [email protected] or Fax (410)762-6050. The Government does not intend to pay for the information that is submitted. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the EPS system for future notices and changes. All responses will be considered by this agency.
