The 802d Contracting Squadron intends to award a sole-source purchase order to Alcon Laboratories, Inc., 6201 South Freeway, Forth Worth, TX 76134-2099 for the Allegretto Wave Eye-Q Excimer Laser System software license and maintenance support services. Alcon Laboratories Inc. is the proprietary vendor and sole distributor of this equipment, which is used by Wilford Hall Medical Center. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (2). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a solicitation for offers. However, all proposals received within 5 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
