The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is requesting information on the availability of motor control center (MCC) to replace the existing Group Control A, B, & C on the 282' WMEC United States Coast Guard Cutter (USCGC) ALEX HALEY. MCC is primarily used for control of motors and for distribution of power. Currently there are no off the shelf items that can be procured for meeting the performance requirements.

REQUESTED INFORMATION:

It is requested sufficient information be provided in response to this RFI to assess the ability of industry to meet the system requirements with a commercially available component. In addition to the technical information requested, please provide budgetary cost and lead time for the procurement of three (3) MCCs, one (1) power panel, and one (1) additional circuit breaker for existing Cutler-Hammer (Eaton) power panel.

Additionally, please provide answers to the following questions or statements:

i) What is your company's small business size status?
ii) Do you for see any small business subcontracting possibilities?
iii) Where will the items be manufactured?
iv) Please provide a past performance summary for similar work.
v) Any other information pertinent to this RFI as it relates to the ability to provide a solution.

SHIP CHECK:

The USCG will be hosting a ship check aboard the USCGC ALEX HALEY (WMEC-39) during the solicitation phase at a date to be determined for interested vendors. All travel costs incurred related to the ship check are at vendor's expense.

The voluntary submission of a response to this RFI/ attendance at a ship check shall not obligate the USCG to pay or entitle the submitter of information to claim any direct or indirect costs or charges or any other remuneration whatsoever. Responses received after June 6, 2016 may not be considered.
