Notice of Proposed Contract Action

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract. The award is to be a Firm-Fixed Price contract pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), "Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available." The contracting officer has determined that only one source is reasonably available: Airborne Medical Depot, LLC, a SDVOSB, located at 5464 W Lady Bug Ct, Tuscon, AZ 85742, the only known source capable of meeting the requirement.

The Department of the Air Force has a requirement for ALIF Surgery Package as follows:

•§  Qty 1: M331108C - Midline II Ti 33mm x 11 x 8 degree 

•§  Qty 5: STM6030 - STALIF Midline ABO Screw

•§  Qty 2: STM6030R - STALIF Midline ABO Screw Revision

•§  Surgical sales representative shall hand deliver items prior to scheduled procedure.

•§  Surgical sales representative shall provide guidance during procedure and have stock on-hand to meet patient needs as determined by surgeon during the procedure.

•§  Delivery: 10 July 2018

•§  Location: WPAFB, OH

The NAICS code for this requirement is 339113, with a size standard of 750 employees. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals.  A Request for Proposal (RFP)/Request for Quotation (RFQ) will not be available for this requirement.  A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The contact for this acquisition is:
