The United States Coast Guard, MLCLANT intends to issue a purchase order to Allied Systems Company for 1 EA Flagblock Assembly, P/N 40008; 10 EA Spacer, P/N 508253; 1 EA Valve Load Hold, P/N 238661. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Allied Systems Company is the only company that has the technical proprietary data necessary to manufacture the required parts. This requirement is being solicited under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) and FAR Subpart 6.302-1. Allied Systems Company is the only company that has the technical proprietary data necessary to assemble the required parts for the cranes installed on the 225 foot cutter. The order will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures per FAR 13. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, the government will consider all information received within 2 days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A Determination by the Government not to compete as a result of quotes received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
