THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE SYNOPSIS!  The 45^th Contracting Squadron has a sole source requirement for G5020/50T 50 Tower automatic low level A/B counting system.  (Standard configuration includes:  Automatic sample changer, 21/4" dual wire gas flow sample detector with gas flow guard, 2 removable sample cartridges, each containing 25 carriers for planchets 2" x 1/8" , 3/16" or 5/16" deep; to be specified upon placement of order, ultra-thin detector window (Field replaceable), detector background <1.3 a plus b, 4" virgin Pb shielding, mobile floor cabinet, MCA analysis for a and b separation, Pentium PC controller with Win 7, DVD, 20" color LCD display, operators manual, installation and training on-site (48 states) and one year limited on-site warranty.  G500W System Software includes:  Interactive menu driven operation, user defined sample "type" counting protocols, automatic HV plateau generation, Chi-Square test and system diagnostics, Multi-channel accumulation of a/b spectrum, user selectable reporting units and formats (per sample type), user defined count sequences, automatic background subtraction, counting parameters and sample data are stored in database format, report templates allow printing or regenerating a sample printout, customers tailored printouts may be created, and basic control chart QA reports.  Option is a HP-2 High Pressure Regulator.   This is a Sole Source with Gamma Products, Inc. 7730 W. 114^th Place, Palos Hills, IL 60465 IAW FAR 13.106-1(b).  Gamma Products, Inc. is the only source capable of fulfilling the government's requirement because AFTAC personnel are trained and qualified to use for measurement of radioactive contamination.  The attached Sole Source Justification has been made available for review. No solicitation documents exist at this time.  This item utilizes North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 334519; size standard of 500 employees.  Interested firms may identify their capability to respond to this requirement.  This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, the government will consider any responses from capable sources received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis.  45 CONS/LGCB has determined that Gamma Products, Inc. is the only source capable of providing this requirement.  Phone calls will not be accepted.
