The Naval Air Systems Command, Air Combat Electronics Program Office (PMA209), intends to issue a delivery order against BOA N00019-11-G-0017 to General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS), 8800 Queen Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55431 on a sole source basis for the overall AMC&D program requirements and tasks necessary to address obsolescence issues in the Type 3 Advanced Mission Computer (AMC). A sole source acquisition will be pursued under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1 "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements." GDAIS is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of all AMC variants, therefore only GDAIS has the requisite knowledge, experience, technical data, and qualified AMC system hardware and software required to successfully support fleet production and upgrade requirements.
