The Missile Defense Agency (MDA), intends to issue a sole source purchase order to American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) to provide up to 350 registrations for MDA military and civilian employees to attend the 8th Annual U.S. Missile Defense System Conference. This conference is hosted by the AIAA and provides a world-class, secure environment for all members of the U.S. Missile Defense Team to meet and discuss key issues facing the development and deployment of missile defense systems in support of national strategic objectives. Contract award is expected on or about 17 March 2010. The anticipated NAICS code is 813920, size standard $7.0M. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, responses received by 9:00 am Eastern Time on 12 March 2010 will be reviewed. No formal solicitation package is available. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for planning purposes for a future competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in responding to this notice.
