These AMPEX Flight Data Recorder Systems are currently utilized at Squadron HX21 and are installed on the MH-60R/S assets. The Flight Data Recorders and Spare Parts being acquired under this contract must be compatible with existing equipment and systems to ensure there is no disruptions to current data flow between the aircrafts and ground systems. Therefore, the Government intends to award this requirement on a sole source basis to AMPEX Data Systems Corporation, 500 Broadway, Redwood City, CA 94063-3119 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The items and estimated quantities to be procured are: Base Recorder Unit MH-60R/S Standard Instrumentation Recorder, Part No. 1311283-010: estimated quantity 5 each. ROMEO AMUX MH-60R Romeo AMUX, Part No. 1311285-010: estimated quantity 5 each. SIERRA AMUX MH-60S Sierra AMUX, Part No. 1311284-010: estimated quantity 5 each. Spares MiniR700/AMUX600/Ground Download Station, mRMM memory and Peripheral Spares (Various Quantities). The estimated period of performance will consist of five years commencing approximately 1 Mar 2012. Delivery shall be made at Patuxent River MD.
