The Naval Air Systems Command has a requirement for AN/AAQ-24(V) Systems and the attendant support for the Department of the Navy Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures (DON LAIRCM program. These systems will be installed onto CH-53, CH-46, and MV-22 aircraft. NAVAIR plans to award a sole source contract to Northrop Grumman Corporation, Electronic Systems, Defensive Systems Division, Rolling Meadows, IL for a base award of approximately 70 AN/AAQ-24(V) systems and two years of contractor logistics support to include spares and repair of repairables efforts. The contract will contain a priced option for approximately 30 additional AN/AAQ-24(V) systems and a priced option for engineering sustaining support This effort is being awarded on a sole source basis to Northrop Grumman Corporation, Electronic Systems, Defensive Systems Division, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 because Northrop Grumman is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the equipment addressed in this synopsis and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
