The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) of the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract, in accordance with FAR Part 13, using simplified acquisition procedures, to Dresden LabService GmbH, Tatzberg 47-49, 01307 Dresden, Germany. The services to be provided by this Contractor shall include: conducting laboratory analyses of salivary cortisol and alpha amylase, including quality control measures and assist with the interpretation of results. Dresden LabService GmbH performed salivary cortisol measurements for two previous studies and measurement of salivary cortisol levels using the same laboratory will provide a higher degree of consistency, which will be critically important when analysis is performed focusing on change in cortispol from one point in time (the full study from 2004-2009) to the next (follow-up study from 2011-2014). In addition, due to the large number of specimens analyzed, costs are minimized.  No other vendor has the ability to meet these qualifications.   No Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.  any interested companies are welcome to submit their credentials and ability to provide the services, via email, to [email protected].  Include reference number 3011-96029.  Please submit any responses by May 6, 2011.
