The Government intends to award a sole source contract modification under contract N0002405C6324 to Raytheon Company, Integrated Defense Systems (IDS), 1847 W Main Rd, Portsmouth, RI for PMS 495 spares and on board repair parts for the AN/AQS20A Mine Detection Sonar.  Raytheon Company is the sole designer, developer, and integrator of AN/AQS20A Sonar System software and hardware.  Raytheon Company is the only known source that possesses the necessary knowledge of the design, operational requirements, capability and expertise to provide these spares and OBRP in a sufficiently accurate and timely manner while successfully achieving a fully integrated and seamless system.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.  The Government intends to solicit and negotiate only with the source identified herein.  Companies interested in subcontracting should contact Raytheon directly.
