EMCCD is a quantitative digital camera technology that is capable of detecting single photon events while maintaining high Quantum Efficiency, achievable by way of a unique electron multiplying structure built into the sensor. The camera must must be able to be operated by LASX software.  The Andor Ixon 888 DU-888U3-CSO-#BV is the only camera that meets these specifications.
