The San Antonio Water System is soliciting bids for delivery of liquid carbon dioxide, 99.5 percent purity for use in the treatment of potable water supplies at the Aqua Vista Water Treatment facility. It is estimated that 6,700,000 million pounds will be used annually. The usage will vary according to the weather. Liquid carbon dioxide is stored in a bulk storage tank.
