National Institute on Drug Abuse, Office of Acquisitions- Neurosciences, Station Support/Simplified Acquisitions (NIDA), on behalf of the National Institute on Mental Health (NIMH), intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the Siemens Medical Solutions, USA, Inc., 4800 North Point Parkway, Alpharetta, GA for an annual service agreement on a government-owned Magnetom Skyra. Only Siemens technicians may perform the services in order not to void the warranty. The period of performance is 12 months.

The acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition using FAR 12 procedures and is under FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government.
