The 4th Contracting Squadron, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price purchase order to HARRIS RF COMMUNICATIONS. This procurement is required in order for the acquisition of model number 12041-2400-02, BATTERY PK, RECHARGEABLE, 6.8A-HR LITH ION, GRN Contract for Pope Army Airfield. This procurement is intended to be awarded as a sole source due to HARRIS RF COMMUNICATIONS, being the only company which manufactures these batteries, with no equivalent alternatives. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), Soliciting From A Single Source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract lies solely within the discretion of the Government.
