This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation, Notice of Intent. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Genovac for Antibody production services using their Genetic Immunization method, in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13.5, as applicable, and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This acquisition is being issued as a Notice of Intent (NOI-RML-8031). The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26 dated 6/12/08. This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and is a Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 325414 and the small business size is 500. This service must use genetic immunization technology, allowing for the generation of antibodies from a DNA sequence, which then are optimized for mammalin expression and expressed at the surface of cells that are used to immunize animals. These antibodies must be developed against the whole native protein, a situation that is essential to our applications. FOB point shall be Destination, Hamilton, MT. Inside delivery shall be not more than 90 days after receipt of order. Delivery location is Rocky Mountain Laboratories, 903 S 4th St, Hamilton, MT 59840.
