The following information is provided to inform industry of flight profiles flown by USAF representatives during the Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) data collection process. The AoA benefited from "hands-on" data collection of the aircraft flown. Data collection consisted of having USAF members fly missions similar to those flown in AETC's Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training (SUPT) and Introduction to Fighter Fundamentals (IFF) syllabus. These missions are shown below.

Single ship familiarization and ground attack sorties:
Sortie 1 - Rear Cockpit; Demonstrations for local pilot, Patterns/landings
Sortie 2 - Rear Cockpit; Demonstrations for local pilot, surface attack- low and medium altitude deliveries

Two ship formation sorties:
Sortie 3 - Front Cockpit; Low level, basic and tactical Formation, advanced handling, extended trail maneuvering
Sortie 4 - Front Cockpit; Low level, basic and tactical Formation, advanced handling, extended trail maneuvering

Two ship air-to-air sorties:
Sortie 5 - Front Cockpit; Basic fighter maneuvers, offensive/defensive perch set-ups at 3000 and 6000 feet slant range, high aspect butterfly set-ups
Sortie 6 - Front Cockpit; Basic fighter maneuvers, offensive/defensive perch set-ups at 3000 and 6000 feet slant range, high aspect butterfly set-ups
Sortie 7 - Front Cockpit; Basic fighter maneuvers, offensive/defensive perch set-ups at 3000 and 6000 feet slant range, high aspect butterfly set-ups
