THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE.
FAR PART 13, SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES ARE UTILIZED IN THIS PROCUREMENT AS AUTHORIZED BY FAR SUBPART 13.5, TEST PROGRAM FOR CERTAIN COMMERCIAL ITEMS.

THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION DOCUMENT IS ATTACHED. THIS ACTION IS A 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS.

This solicitation is a Request for Proposals (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-53.

The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 423430 with a small business size standard of 100.
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement to establish a Firm Fixed Price contract for an Apple MacPro for the NIST, Gaithersburg, MD Campus in accordance with this solicitation and all attachments.

Because of heightened security, FED-EX, UPS, or similar delivery methods are the preferred method of delivery of proposals. If proposals are hand delivered, delivery shall be made on the actual due date through Gate A, and a 24-hour (excluding weekends and holidays) prior notice shall be made to the Contracts Office at 301-975-6219.

Faxed proposals will not be accepted.

Requirement for active registration in CCR: each offeror must have an active registration at www.ccr.gov to be eligible to receive an award under this solicitation.
