The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), NAS Patuxent River, MD intends to award a new contract on a firm fixed-price basis and to solicit and negotiate the proposed procurement on a sole source basis with Raytheon Company McKinney, TX. The procurement will consist of 29 APY-10 Radar systems to meet the requirements for the P-8A Multi-Mission Maritime Aircraft. The contract will also include: Non-Recurring Engineering (e.g. Parts Obsolescence, Engineering, and Rate Tooling); Engineering Change Orders/Proposals; Integrated Logistics Support and Interim Contractor Support; Engineering and Logistics Support to Stand Up Intermediate and Depot Level Repair Capability; Technical Data; Repair of Repairables; Trainers (operator/maintenance); Initial spares; and Support equipment.

This requirement will be procured in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements." Raytheon Company is the only known source with the knowledge, experience, expertise and proprietary technical data to successfully perform these tasks.
