Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued for an Indefinite Quantity Contract consisting of a one-year base and four (4) one-year options.  The anticipated contract award date is on or before May 30, 2012. The items to be procured are all Aramid Rope. Market research indicates that these are commercial items. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued as a Small Business Set-Aside.  The required delivery will be 90 days and all shipments will be Customer Direct (Direct Vendor Delivery) to a CONUS location.  Exact ship to addresses will be provided on the individual delivery orders of the resulting contract.  Requested pricing will be FOB-Origin.  All Items are procured to Military Specifications/Drawings that will be available during the open solicitation period only.  All items under this acquisition are subject to the Berry Amendment.  The solicitation will be available after 12/08/2011 by accessing:  http://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil  under the "Solicitations" heading, search under Request for Proposal (RFP)/Invitation for Bid (IFB).
