The Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate, Rome NY intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source purchase order under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 with Tektronix, Inc., PO Box 500, Beaverton, OR 97077 to provide 1 Arbitrary Waveform Generator. Tektronix is the only source that can provide the Arbitrary Waveform Generator to meet the performance requirements of the Government. Specifications for the generator include, but aren't limited to:
-Two Channels- Independently Programmable
-12 Giga Samples/Second (4.8 GHz effective Bandwidth) or greater
-10 bit each channel or more
-35 picosecond Rise Time (20% to 80%) or less
-2 Direct Outputs (unfiltered)
-Output maximum 2.0 Volts Peak-to-Peak or greater
-Clock Jitter (1010 patterns) - 0.9 picosecond or greater; -20 picoseconds Peak-to-Peak or less at 2 to 6 Gb/s
-Output Flatness +/-1 dB or less from 50 MHz to 4.8 GHz
-Spur Fee Dynamic Range:
     DC to 1.0 Gigahertz carrier: -54 dBc or less
     1.0 to 2.4 Gigahertz carrier: -46 dBc or less
     2.4 to 3.5 Gigahertz carrier: -38 dBc or less
     3.5 to 4.8 Gigahertz carrier: -30 dBc or less

Though this notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, information received within twelve (12) days after the publication of the solicitation will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
