THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE – THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT’S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE-SOURCE AWARD TO AMERICAN CORRECTIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR AUDIT SERVICE.

Mission Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Leavenworth, KS intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed price award for audit to American Correctional Association, 206 North Washington Street, Alexandria, VA 22314-2528.

The United States Disciplinary Barracks and Joint Regional Correction Facility under the Army Corrections Brigade (ACB) require audit service from the American Correctional Association every three years.

The contractor shall provide certified auditors to conduct a very in-depth audit of the United States Disciplinary Barracks (USDB) and the Joint Regional Correctional Facility (JRCF). The ACA audit will take place between 18-25 March 2024. The USDB has been accredited through the American Correctional Association (ACA) since 1978.  ACA is the only nationally recognized accreditation process for correctional facilities and must be renewed every three years. Re-accreditation requires a very in-depth audit by auditors certified by the ACA. The USDB’s and the JRCF’s last audit occurred in March 2021. Accreditation is essential to maintaining our programs within national standards and such accreditation is only offered through the (ACA).

This procurement will be issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The NAICS code utilized for this procurement is 813920 – Professional Standards Review Board with a Small Business Size Standard of $23.5 Million. The PSC code is R420, Support-Professional:  Certifications and Accreditations (other than Educ or Info Tech C&A). These are commercial services with a dollar value under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold.
