The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) hereby issues this notice of intent to award a sole source order to the Dionex for an ASE 350 Accelerated Solvent Extractor, Installation Service, ASE 350 Starter Kit for 66 and 100mL Cells, and Extraction Cell Kit - Stainless Steel, 100 mL, Pkg of 6 for ASE 350.  The FDA requires extraction equipment that is 69.3 x 67.3 x 61.7 cm, has the ability to be operated unattended for overnight or over weekends, and eliminate the need of large volumes of CO2.

"ASE" is a specific technology and the Dionex is the sole manufacturer of the ASE 350 Accelerated Solvent Extractor.


The NAICS code is 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; no solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, sources may submit descriptive literature, fully documenting their capability to perform these services within the timeframes needed, which will be considered by the agency. A determination to compete this procurement based on response(s) to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that award may be issued to Dionex within approximately 15 days after the date of this notice unless the Government determines that any other organization has the capability to meet this requirement.
