Yellowstone National Park requires leasing one Asphalt Milling machine with operator(s) to perform milling in Mammoth Hot Springs area of Yellowstone National Park. Quote must include machine, operator(s), mobilization cost (including all mileage and per diem expenses). In the event that funding is available, four optional milling sections in the Mammoth Hot Springs area may be awarded. The following is a description of the requirements: One unit with a 7 to 12 foot mill is acceptable, must be capable of milling asphalt 1 1/2" to 2" deep. Base project work will be performed from the upper parking lot at the Liberty cap and continue east to the end of the divided highway consisting of approximately 27,800 square yards. National Park Service will provide trucks for hauling and disposal of milling, water for the milling machine, and traffic control for the project. Contractor will be required to provide a safety plan. In the event of availability of funding, up to four optional projects may be awarded. Project is anticipated to begin September 8, 2009.
