It is the intent of this agency to award a sole source contract under statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1), set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This agency intends to award AudioCare Systems, 1436 Lancaster Ave, STE 260, Berwyn, PA 19312-1200.

6 MXS requires an upgrade to the existing AudioCare System; the following items are required:

001 - AudioNOTES-Outbound, to include Maintenance and Support for the first year, QTY 1 ea.

A contract for the AudioNOTES upgrade will be awarded to AudioCare Systems following no response back to this notice of intent. Market research conducted has resulted in the following: the Audio-Notes module is an upgrade to the existing Audio Care System. Audio Care Systems is the only manufacturer and distributor of this product. This decision is based upon extensive market research most notably posting a Sources Sought on Federal Business Opportunities which resulted no qualified sources. Furthermore, no other source can meet agency requirements due to proprietary equipment and software. To purchase comparable equipment from any sources other than government that is not expected to be recovered through competition.

If no response to this notice is received by 12:00pm EST on Friday, FEB 13, 2007, the award for this AudioNOTES System will be made to AudioCare Systems.
