EAF F-70 Soft Soil and Hard Soil Auger Bits

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Little Beaver, Inc. of Livingston, TX for the procurement of (222) two-hundred and twenty-two each Soft Soil Auger Bits (P/N: 9027-H1-.5) and (222) two-hundred and twenty-two each Hard Soil Auger Bits (P/N: 9023-C1.5H) for the EAF F-70.
Little Beaver Inc manufacturers all of the auger equipment contained within the F-70 tool kit. These items cannot be procured through any other manufacturer due to the compatibility issues with the other equipment.

The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not have the rights to current data, drawings or other specifications to permit full and open competition. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
