The USDA, ARS, LSO intends to purchase an AIM-Autoinoculator and Vizion.  

The Sensititre Identification and Antimicrobial Susceptibility System must include:

•·        An automated Inoculation Delivery System (AIM)

•o   Must come with pre-loaded software for accurate dosing of a variety of zoonotic pathogens

•o   Must be compatible with FDA custom antimicrobial microtiter plates (microbroth dilution plates)

•o   Must have a compact footprint to allow for placement in a biological safety cabinet

•o   Must have an icon driven touch screen to allow for proper dosing volumes for each organism

•o   Must have an icon driven touch screen to identify antimicrobial patterns

•o   Must be fully compatible and interchangeable with instruments currently used in the FDA/CDC NARMS (National Antimicrobial Resistance Monitoring System) and USDA/APHIS NAHMS (National Animal Health Monitoring System)

•o   Must be compatible with Thermo-Scientific/TREK Diagnostic inoculum tubes

•o   Must produce results comparable with research currently being conducted

 

•·        A Vizion-SYE antimicrobial sensitivity visualization system

•o   Must have automated antimicrobial sensitivity plate reading capability

•o   Must include dilution templates compatible with CDC/FDA customized antimicrobial microtiter plates

•o   Must include color coded interpretive results to reduce subjective technician error.

•o   Must have multiple lighting options that are reproducible to facilitate reading and standardize results

•o   Must include an image save option for sharing of and consultation over results

•o   Must be fully compatible and interchangeable with instruments currently used in the FDA/CDC NARMS (National Antimicrobial Resistance Monitoring System) and USDA/APHIS NAHMS (National Animal Health Monitoring System)

•o   Must be compatible with FDA custom antimicrobial microtiter plates

•o   Must be fully compatible with consumables already purchased by the agency.

•o   Must utilize software that is FDA cleared

 

The government anticipates award of a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the specifications will be most advantageous to the Government.  PAYMENT: Any award made under this solicitation is subject to 31 CFR Part 208 which requires all payments made by the government to be made by electronic funds transfer. Please note on your proposal if you will accept a government purchase (VISA) card.  This solicitation incorporates the following FAR clauses, provisions and addendums:   52-212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Item; 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items - annual representations and certifications are required.  Offers shall include a statement as follows on their offer: the offeror verifies by submission of this offer that the representations and certifications currently posted electronically at https://www.sam.gov have been entered or updated in the last 12 months, are current, accurate, complete, and applicable to this solicitation (including the business size standard applicable to the NAICS code referenced for this solicitation), as of the date of this offer and are incorporated in this offer by reference,
