This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial supplies prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.603 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. However, Request for Quotation (RFQ) R09PS30053 will be issued simultaneously with this announcement to facilitate receipt of electronic quotes. The RFQ will be issued via www.fedbizopps.gov. This RFQ is issued under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), and is 100% small business set aside. The NAICS code is 333999, All Other Miscellaneous General Purpose Machinery, and the size standard is 500 employees.
The Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Region, has a requirement for one (1) automatic backwash filter that must have the ability to automatically backwash a 1/8" coarse filter, and an 80 micron fine filter. The flow rate will be 1800 G.P.M. at 250 P.S.I. The filter should be designed with 300 pound flanges, and be able to stand pressures up to 300 P.S.I. The discharge valves should be sized for a 3" or smaller discharge line. The coarse and fine filters should be combined into a single unit with one control box for both filters. The discharge valves for the automatic backwash will be independently controlled.
