The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) requires information on an Automatic Coaxial Cable Stripper (ACCS) to prepare coaxial, triaxial, and single-wire cables for termination with various connectors.
The NAWCADLKE is seeking information from industry regarding ACCS products and technology. Please provide the following information about ACCS products supplied by your company/organization that is currently available as a Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) product or about ACCS technology under development:
1) Describe generally your ACCS product/technology.
2) Provide an overview of your ACCS concept of operation; include a user's manual and operations and maintenance manual if available. Discuss the operator-machine interface.
3) Discuss critical information and performance parameters associated with your ACCS: type and size of cables that can be accommodated; maximum strip length; maximum strip diameter; strip length and diameter increments; number of programmable strip/preparation steps; programmable/storable wire lists; power requirements; calibration requirements; reliability data; consumable products; and any other salient characteristics.
4) Describe the environmental tests to which your ACCS has been subjected. Provide test results and data if available. Discuss the environmental thresholds that the ACCS is capable of meeting (e.g., electromagnetic compatibility; operating/storage temperature; humidity; shock).
5) Provide a summary of field usage, test and demonstration results for your ACCS.
6) Provide information about your company/organization including: brief description of your company/organization; CAGE Code; past or present Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) awards related to your ACCS.
7) A Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) is requested for 40 units that may be procured in FY15 for estimated price information only.
8) Provide any commercial pamphlets, or relevant additional information for your ACCS.

There is no requirement to respond to the RFI in order to be eligible to propose on the planned RFP. However, the Government places tremendous value on the information received and may utilize it to finalize its acquisition strategy.
The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e) responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract/agreement. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this request, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any costs incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. The Government will not release any information marked with a Proprietary legend, received in response to this RFI, to any firms, agencies, or individuals outside the Government without written permission in accordance with the legend.
Responses to this RFI will not be returned. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the review. NO FORMAL SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME.
