The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Complex, Butner, North Carolina, intends to issue a firm-fixed price, sole source purchase order to University of North Carolina School of Pathology, Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This non-competitive action is being issued by the Federal Correctional Complex, Butner, NC for the period October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018. The Federal Correctional Complex has a need for Pathology (Autopsies) services to deceased inmates. The Government believes that University of North Carolina School of Pathology is the only vendor that will satisfy the agency requirement with continuing telephone services. This is not a request for competitive quotes. This is a sole source procurement under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). The intent of this Special Notice is for informational purposes only. However, all information received within 7 working days after the date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government.
