This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The United States Marshals Service, Tactical Operations Division, Special Operations Group will award a Firm Fixed Price type contract for the items as described below. Solicitation SOG-13-0003 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation is a 100% Small Business set-aside for NAICS Code 423990 (Classification Code 42) and the small business size standard is 500 Employees, respectively.

Offeror must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database before an award can be made to them. If the offeror is not registered in the CCR, for more information go to CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov.

Delivery must be made on or before December 31, 2013. No multiple awards will result from this solicitation. The Government reserves the right to award or not award based on this solicitation at any time after the closing of this solicitation.

All bids must be valid for 30 days from the closing date for this solicitation. All bid prices must include shipping FOB Destination: 1401 F. Street, Pineville, LA 71360. No partial shipments are permitted, unless otherwise specified by the Contracting Officer at time of award.

The Special Operations Group Unit currently has the FM53 mask in inventory. The FM53 has been specifically designed to improve integration with equipment for specialist tactical operations. SOG is using the FM53 gas mask as the required duty uniform for the majority of its missions. SOG members wear the FM53 for training and on tactical missions as well as during overseas missions. SOG also issues the FM53 to candidates when they successfully complete the SOG Selection Courses. To promote standardization, familiarization and eliminate the need for costly re-outfitting, SOG has added to its inventory the Avon FM53 Gas Mask.
