PTAG Part 6.1.1 Synopsis - Non-Competitive

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has a continuing requirement for contractor support for the annual renewal of software maintenance and support services for Avotus ICM software.

The USPTO intends to negotiate and award a firm fixed purchase order for the annual renewal of software maintenance and support services utilizing NAICS code 511510 to Avotus Corporation located at 409 Matheson Blvd. East Mississauga, ON L4Z 2H2, for a base year and three (3) one-year option periods, with an estimated value of $70,714.08. 

Avotus Corporation is the only known qualified source to supply the goods/services.  Additionally, Avotus Corporation is the sole developer of the software and support services.  As a result of USPTO's exemption from the Competition in Contracting Act, the subject requirement is being procured using the Alternative Competition Method in accordance with the Patent and Trademark Office Acquisition Guidelines (PTAG) and the Patent and Trademark Office Efficiency Act, 35 U.S.C. 2(b)(4)(A).
