The  contractor shall perform efforts in accordance with OD61988 in order to mitigate risks for the SSGN Attack Weapons Control system (AWCS).  These efforts shall include engineering, logistics, field engineering, maintenance, documentation, hardware kits, monitoring, software maintenance and sustainment support.  Software maintenance that addresses issues identified during the processing of Problem Reports shall be included along with the TFR investigation and corrective actions and modernization/refresh of the Advanced Design Lab.

Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS) Pittsfield, MA.  GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the United States and United Kingdom TRIDENT (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability  to perform the required effort.
