The objective of this work is to prepare an Environmental Assessment (EA) that would analyze the impacts of the proposed action and alternatives for accomplishing Phase 8 of Military Family Housing (MFH) on Mountain Home Air Force Base (MHAFB). Phase 8 includes the demolition of 435 housing units and replacement with 457 housing units that meet current US Air Force standards. The contractor shall prepare an EA for the proposed action. The contractor, in cohort with the 366th Civil Engineer Squadron, the 366th Contracting Squadron, the Army Corps of Engineers (if necessary), and the Idaho State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO), shall prepare up to five reasonable action alternatives in accordance with the provisions of 32 CFR 989, Air Force Environmental Impact Analysis Process (EIAP). This effort is being conducted in compliance with the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), as amended, PL 91-190. After analyzing the potential environmental impacts of the proposed action and action alternatives (including a âno actionâ alternative), the EA will present the Air Force with a comparison of alternatives for accomplishing Phase 8 on MHAFB.
