Revised SOURCES SOUGHT requesting sources with specific experience for contract support services in epidemiological and statistical studies as identified below. Services required include data abstract/collection, data entry, database management, com puter programming, biostatistical and epidemiologic analysis. Support is required in: 1) The Accession Medical Standards and Research Activity (AMSARA) whose mission is to support the development of evidence based accession standards by conducting epidemi ologic analyses and integrating relevant operational, clinical and economic consideration into policy recommendation; 2) The Psychiatric Seroepidemiologic Studies that seek to enhance the current body of information regarding potential infectious factors a nd the development of neuropsychiatric illness by establishing antibody prevalence rates for a variety of viral agents in both diseased and non-diseased populations; and 3) The Accession Medical Standards Prospective Studies that includes the Assessment of Recruit Motivation and Strength (ARMS) that uses simple screening fitness tests to identify qualified recruits as well as to encourage physical training prior to shipping. Work shall be performed in Government facilities. Familiarity and prior experienc e with one or more large military databases including Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) manpower and loss files, Patient Administration Systems and Biostatistics Activity (PASBA), and MEPCOM Integrated Resource System (MIRS) is essential to minimize disr uption in service to AMSARA and the Department of Epidemiology at the WRAIR. Experience analyzing discharges for medical conditions that existed prior to military service is also highly desirable. Finally, seroepidemiology experience with analyzing seru m samples, including assessment and adjustment for interplate measurement variability is essential. Contractor personnel may be required to travel to Army, Navy, Air Force training installations and Military Entrance Processing Stations across the United States.
