The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a Commercial contract for 1) custom conjugation services to produce validated, optimized, europium labeled antibodies for CDC to use in the production of Time Resolve Fluorescence (TRF) reagents/kits and 2) supply kits with biotin labeled antibodies in plates and europium labeled antibodies in vials. Specific items to be purchased are: 12 each - Europium label 250 mg of antibody; 1000 each - SEB TRF kits; and 1000 each - Ricin TRF kits. It is believed that these items are proprietary to PerkinElmer Life and Analytical Sciences, Inc., Boston, Massachusetts, who is therefore the only responsible source. It is the intent of CDC to award a contract to Perkin Elmer Life and Analytical Sciences Inc., if this is found to be true.
