The Directorate of Contacting, Fort Drum, NY will issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) to conduct a survey of the Indiana Bat on Fort Drum, NY. The successful Contractor will provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform all work in connection with mist netting, radio tagging and tracking, and report documentation to determine the presence, locations, and extent of use of Indiana Bat maternity roosts on Fort Drum, NY. The anticpated period of the survey is from 15 June to 15 August 2009. The contractor shall be listed on the Qualified Indiana Bat Surveyors list maintained by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), and currently possess (or be in the process of obtaining) a permit from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) and/or the USFWS (if necessary), that allows for the capture and handling of small mammals, including the state and federally endangered Indiana Bat. Services will be procured using the procedures in FAR parts 12 and 13. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Small Business Concerns.
