In accordance with FAR subpart 13.106-1(b) the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to issue a sole source purchase order to the Makerere University Institute of Public Health in Kampala, Uganda. The purpose of this purchase order is to conduct verbal autopsies with standardized recall periods of 3-4 weeks in the Iganga/Mayuge Demographic Surveillance Site (DSS), while also adding information on care-seeking preceding the death. Makerere University Institute of Public Health is the only known source with access to the required Demographic Surveillance Sites. Interested parties who feel that they possess the capabilities to provide the services described above should submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to provide the services. The information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
