PHASE I CULTURAL RESOURCES INVESTIGATION OF A PORTION OF THE ARDEN HILLS ARMY TRAINING SITE, RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA. The contractor shall conduct a prehistoric and historic archeological investigation of approximately 135 acres at the Minnesota Ar my National Guards Arden Hills Army Training Site (part of the former Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant) in Ramsey County, Minnesota. Field work will include pedestrian walkover and shovel testing of 14 survey areas, as well as field checking the locatio ns of 17 preinstallation farmsteads. The contractor will need to obtain an archeological license from the Office of the Minnesota State Archaeologist. Key contractor personnel must meet the Secretary of the Interiors professional qualification standards for prehistoric archeologists, historic archeologists, and historians.
