BACKGROUND: The objective of a Backflow Prevention or Cross Connection Control Program is to prevent the introduction of pollutants or contaminants into the drinking water distribution system. Air Force Instruction (AFI) 32-1066, Plumbing Systems, along with federal, state and local requirements, establish backflow prevention requirements for Air Force installations.

LOCATION: Various buildings located at Bradley ANG 100 Nicholson Road, East Granby, CT 06026 & Orange ANG Station, 206 Boston Post Road, Orange, CT 06477

SCOPE:
Acquire and install:
1) Nine (9) - testable backflow prevention assembly (BFPAs) on unprotected systems
2) Fourteen (14) - untestable backflow prevention devices (BFP) on unprotected systems

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE

The total contractor time for this task order shall not exceed 15 days.

DELIVERABLES

Acquire and install:

Five (5) - 2" bronze backflow prevention devices (reduced - pressure principle assembly)
Three (3) - 1.25" bronze backflow prevention devices (atmospheric vacuum breaker)
One (1) - 1" bronze backflow prevention device (reduced - pressure principle assembly)
One (1) - 1" bronze backflow prevention device (air gap)
One (1) - 0.75" bronze backflow prevention device (reduced - pressure principle assembly)
Two (2) - 0.75" bronze backflow prevention devices (atmospheric vacuum breaker)
One (1) - 0.75" bronze backflow prevention device (hose bib vacuum breaker)
Two (2) - 0.50" bronze backflow prevention devices (reduced - pressure principle assembly)
Four (4) - 0.50" bronze backflow prevention devices (atmospheric vacuum breaker)
One (1) - 0.50" bronze backflow prevention device (dual check valve with intermediate atmospheric vent)
One (1) - 0.375" bronze backflow prevention device (atmospheric vacuum breaker)
One (1) - 0.25" bronze backflow prevention device (dual check valve with intermediate atmospheric vent)
